The Indonesia 2022 FIFA World Cup bid was the first official bid from the Football Association of Indonesia (PSSI) to host the FIFA World Cup. FIFA rejected the bid for lack of government support on 19 March 2010. [1] .

Indonesia was named by FIFA as the host of the U-20 World Cup in 2019 after it beat out two rivals: Brazil and Peru. Indonesia was preparing six stadiums for the U-20 World Cup: Gelora Bung Karno (Jakarta), Gelora Bung Tomo (Surabaya), Si Jalak Harupat (Bandung), Manahan (Solo), I Wayan Dipta (Bali), and Gelora Sriwijaya Jakabaring (Palembang).

The 2023 FIFA U-20 World Cup will take place in Indonesia from May 20 to June 11, 2023, with 24 participating countries, including Indonesia, as the host.
